Your Personal Information at Vegastars

Last updated: 24.10.2026

This notice is for anyone who holds or opens a Vegastars account in New Zealand. It sets out which details we hold about you, the reasons we hold them and the choices you have. It covers registration, play, payments, verification and every conversation you have with our support team.

The Details You Give Us

At sign-up

Registration typically asks for an e-mail address, a username, a password and a phone number. Your e-mail address is usually how we confirm the account, and it is where account messages go.

When you verify your identity

Identity verification is required before we pay out. For that check we usually ask for an ID document and proof of address. Proof that a payment method belongs to you is typically requested as well. Where it applies, a source-of-funds check is, as a rule, added to these.

When you contact us

Messages you send through live chat or by e-mail stay in our records, so the next person who helps you can see what has already been discussed.

Information Created While You Play

Every deposit and withdrawal creates a record of the method, the amount and the time. Your account also logs bets, bonus activity and the safer-play settings you choose, such as limits or a break from play. Your device and browser send us basic technical information, and cookies keep you signed in and remember your preferences.

What We Use It For

We use your information to run your account and to confirm that you are an adult of legal age and that you are who you say you are. It lets us process payments, apply bonuses and cashback, answer support requests and protect accounts against fraud. We also need it to honour the limits and exclusions you set, because a limit only works if we can match it to the right person.

We do not use your verification documents for marketing. If you no longer want promotional messages from us, tell us and we will stop sending them.

Who Else Sees It

Only people and companies with a role in delivering our service can access your data: our own payments and support staff, and the providers who help us process payments, check identity or host our systems. They may use it only for the task we give them. We may also share information when the law requires it, for example to prevent fraud or money laundering.

How We Protect It

Data travelling between your browser and our service is typically protected by SSL encryption. Two-factor authentication is usually available to add a second step at login. Inside our team, access to player records is limited to staff whose job requires it.

Your habits count as well: choose a password you use nowhere else, keep it to yourself and sign out when you share a device.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your information for as long as your account is open. After closure, we hold it only as long as legal, accounting or fraud-prevention duties require, then we delete it or make it anonymous.

Seeing and Correcting Your Information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and for corrections where something is wrong or out of date. Send the request through live chat or by e-mail. Before we release or change anything we confirm that the request really comes from you, which protects your account from anyone trying to use your name.

If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner:

  • Post: PO Box 10 094, Wellington 6140

  • Phone: 0800 803 909 (NZ Relay available)

Cookies in Your Browser

Because you play with us in your browser, cookies handle the routine work of keeping a session open. You can delete or restrict them in your browser settings. If you block the essential ones, signing in and using the cashier may stop working as expected.

When This Notice Changes

We review this notice when our service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version, and we tell you in advance about any change that significantly affects how we use your information.
